PAT Testing
Chapmans Electrical are your local experts for all aspects of electrical testing and inspection, including PAT testing, serving businesses and organisations across Birmingham and the West Midlands.
The law imposes a requirement upon all business owners, landlords and organisations to ensure that all portable electrical appliances used are regularly inspected and tested to ensure they are safe for use by both employees and the public. Portable appliance testing, PAT testing, is the industry standard way to comply with this obligation.
Portable Appliances can be said to be anything with a plug. Portable appliance testing or PAT Testing is a process where portable electrical appliances are routinely inspected and tested. The portable appliances are then labelled with a identification code and records are kept showing when they were last tested, whether they passed and when they should be tested next. This is generally referred to as SEAWARD recording or SEAWARD labelling. A SEAWARD test report may be required by your insurance company.
Chapmans Electrical was established as a family business in 1925 and remains a family run company to this day. Our core values of honesty and integrity combined with quality service remain unchanged 90 years later.
